      Armin included John both in Foole and as a character in The History of The Two Maids of Moreclacke. In the first work he provided a short biography of John (the only such biography in the work), describing him as 'This innocent Idiot that never harmed any' and 'this foole of a child'. The Maids is a play by the French dramatist Jean Genet. It was first performed at the Théâtre de l'Athénée in Paris in a production that opened on 17 April , which Louis Jouvet directed.
